Last week was a little different.
Some of the team visited the RARE organisation in Roseneath St North Geelong.
We had lunch after at Seasons Café in Douro St.
Ewan Urquhart gave a wonderful presentation regarding who they are servicing, and costs involved.
At present there is work in PNG, building Teachers and Nursing collages.
So much is needed regarding fitting out and raising funds to purchase the container and ship to PNG.
Ewan told us the cost of a container, to purchase and ship is $15000.
So much is needed from the Rotary club in Geelong that support this ongoing RAWCS project.
Dan Furlan thanked Ewan and the volunteers for showing us around and explaining the process, and presented them chocolates to all enjoy with the morning tea.
Equipment (RARE) project is a volunteer-based recycling facility used to collect and redistribute goods, principally donated by companies, hospitals and educational institutions.
The goods it distributes are destined for developing countries and to disadvantaged individuals in the local community.
