Then it was on to Trivia Night prep and the big night itself on Friday.
Firstly thank you to all who put so much effort into making it such a successful evening, Our Trivia Committee of Jo, Judy E, Ian and Andrew.
Then on to the many members who sourced and supplied silent auction Items, prizes, and Judy E for her very popular Raffle Tree.
So much work was done behind the scenes.
Our bump in/bump out team of Jo, Ian, Andrea Rick Berry and Rick Brown, Judy B and Judy E.
A huge thank you to our Bayside friends Jan Berry and David Patterson who spent 2 hours helping us set up.
Thanks Judy B for supplying the table centrepieces, and along with the bunting it made the hall look great. Andrea did a stellar job manning the door and the Square, and of course David who helped her.
The night it’s self was fabulous, and I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. Luke our Trivia Host did a great job and kept it fun – I was personally very impressed with him singing the whole Music round. The Silent auction was busy, and as said earlier Judy E’s Raffle Tree was really good.
I have received a lot of messages this morning congratulating us on a wonderful night.
I believe we made over $5500 which is just amazing.
It was also lovely to see some other local Rotary Clubs attend. Highton RC, Ocean Grove RC, Torquay RC, and of course the returning champions Geelong East RC all had a table, and we thank them for their support.
Geelong East again took home the trophy and Prize;
I think we really need to do something about that next year.
A special thank you to Daryll for taking part in the Walk against Domestic Violence in Melbourne yesterday, and it was great to see him at the Trivia Night afterwards.
