Our group met at Rippleside and Western Beach for a Bollard walk by the Bay; a ‘walk trial’ with an emphasis on artist Jan Mitchell’s story. We were instructed to brush up on Geelong’s history and Jan’s life’s work. After a leisurely stroll and collection of trivia, as well as deciphering info from the bollards along the way, members and partners enjoyed socialising over a delicious seafood meal, a glass of wine and a coffee. Hostess with the mostest Jo, then ‘corrected’ our ‘walk trial’ answers and handed out giant bars of chocolate as prizes. It was interesting to see how people thought outside the square, in their frantic endeavours to find all the items we had to collect. There should be some interesting fines next week Spitz, not the least being Peter Kavenagh for complaining that no-one turned up at Queen’s Park for the meeting!!
Well done Jo and assistant Ross for a fun night.
