What a busy week we had with many members helping to decorate the Christ Church Hall on Friday 23rd May in readiness for the Bayside Rotary Club’s High Tea function on the 24th May. The hall looked magnificent.

Then we were all back again early on Saturday 24th May to finalise all the food preparation so that the High Tea could be served as the guests started to arrive.

The food was delicious and most appreciated by our paying guests. One of the highlights was the performance of the Sing Australia choir with many Rotarians and others present all singing along with encouragement by the choir.

The choir was followed by a game of Heads and Tails which was enjoyed by all. The winner was ???.

Then Ian hosted the game of two up which drew a bag audience and generated much excitement among those present. I do believe many had never observed a live game of Two-Up before.

Fashions on the Field followed next with the Winners being ??? and ???.

The drawing of the Raffle then completed a memorable Day with the profit being about $2,000.00

A big thankyou to all members who supplied food for the high tea, served the guests and then participated in the cleanup of the Hall and packed up at the end of the event.

A special thank-you to our Judy Beasley who coordinated the planning of the event as well as acting as MC on the day.
On the 27th May Bayside members and partners enjoyed a Social Night at the Café Palat in Pakington Street Geelong West.

A large selection of Asian dishes and international Beers were on the menu and we were well looked after by the owner.

Finally the week was completed on Friday 23rd May with our Bunnings BBQ at Warn Ponds Bunnings with 3 members rostered on in the morning and 3 in the afternoon. Profit was approx. $1,000 for the day.
Phew what a big week.

I’m sure we were all exhausted and glad of the upcoming weekend to recover.
