FOUNDATION – Director David Fisher reported that he had spoken to the District RAWCS Chairman, David Goldsmith re: our supporting the ‘adopt a village project. ‘ The District feels this might not be the way to go at present and has suggested sponsoring a researcher to attend a conference at Deakin University in April and supporting his project of setting up a ‘Childbirth Emergency Phone network’ in PNG. David proposed that the club re assign the proposed $1,000
for the mosquito nets to supporting Mr. Gauis Sabumei, who is prepared to come to the club to speak on the project. Discussion ensued. It was decided that David and Jayne look further into this new project before committing any funds, at this stage.
